Congratulations to our covert department who, in one day, made 12 apprehensions at an undisclosed Newcastle retailer. As the very nature of the work is covert, we cannot reveal the two top performing officers or the retailer where the apprehensions took place, but would like to make special mention to the officers and their excellent work. This is great news as Knightland covert officers had the police making arrests at this location throughout the entire day. Excellent performances like this have resulted in the current, long standing, contract with Knightland to be renewed for a further 3 years. So again, congratulations to the apprehension officers on a job well done. Knightland Security would also like to welcome some new staff to the fold. Troy Gossner, a long serving Knightland patrols expert, is now utilising his skills in the position of Field Operations Supervisor. Dario Ciarrochi is a plethora of information spreading his knowledge and skill throughout our current go getting Sales and Technical departments. Jess Campbell is our youngest team member bringing new and exciting ideas to our Accounts department as an Accounts trainee. Our company seems to be growing by the minute and is setting the stage for a solid future in the security industry.

A big well done to everyone involved in this year’s Hunter River Show up at Maitland. Our guards handled all altercations with the utmost professionalism with praise given by the committee for our outstanding work. Having serviced the Hunter River show for a number of years now, Knightland hope to continue this relationship with the show and servicing our local community through this event.
A special mention also goes out to Tyler Morten this week whose brave and level headed actions resulted in apprehending a thief in the act at PGH bricks at Tomago. Two males were caught in the act stripping copper from the site and a pursuit ensued resulting in the apprehension of one of the men. This is an excellent result for a client that has had continual problems with trespassers recently. Well done Tyler.

The Sales department had a visit from Bosch security products during the week in which the new hightech display van was on show to give some insight into how Boschs new range of CCTV and PTZ camera systems operated. The van had a fully operational PTZ camera controller and dome camera on the side of the van enabling them to see the various functions such as optical zoom, intelligent motion tracking, and enhanced analysis features. Knightland, having been a long time installer and outlet for innovative and high quality Bosch alarm products and got to see some of the new yet to be released security products in theft prevention and visual surveillance. Lewis, Nerida and Benjamin were impressed with the effort that Bosch had gone to in providing education on their product range of cameras and DVR systems and will be looking forward to promoting another product line in the Bosch arsenal.
Call the Knightland Sales department today to find out about this month’s specials on Bosch alarms and CCTV for your home and/or business.

In the past few weeks at Knightland Security we have had some new staff changes. Our beloved Investigations Coordinator, Karen Sutcliffe has moved on to bigger and brighter opportunities. She was offered a new position with the government and we wish her all the best in her future.
Replacing Karen is the ever smiling, Amanda Brogan. You may find her cheerful voice on the other end of our phone or her smiling face around the office. Her jovial attitude is a refreshing delight and we welcome her to Knightland Security.
Robyn Jackson, our operations manager, has also opted for a change of career. She may still be seen occasionally working security, but she will be greatly missed around the office.
Replacing Robyn is the young go-getter, Wes Whitworth. Taking charge of this role, Wes has settled in nicely and has brought a new order to the masses of shift changes and rostering. We look forward to seeing more of this exuberant attitude and welcome him to Knightland Security.
